The booking process: where do you actually do it?

Every fast pass booking has to be made in the Tokyo Disney Resort App. Get these sorted before you travel:

1. Download and sign in: Install the official app and log in with your Disney account (the same account works worldwide).

2. Link your ticket: Once you have scanned in at the gate, tap “Scan Ticket” on the home screen and scan the QR code on your paper or digital ticket.

3. Create a group: Have one person scan the whole family's tickets to set up a group. When passes drop you can then select everyone in one tap, which is how you make sure the family ends up in the same time slot.

The four kinds of fast pass, explained

Tokyo Disney's fast pass system is really four mechanisms working side by side: DPA (Disney Premier Access), where you pay for a slot; the free 40th Anniversary Priority Pass (PP); Standby Pass (SP), which controls entry to certain rides and shops; and Entry Request, a straight lottery.
